T2F2-NFC-TypeC is a USB-TypeC port version of our T2F2-NFC security key. Having an NFC chip onboard allows using this FIDO2 key with modern iPhones natively, directly in the browser (starting from iOS 13.3) as well as Android devices with NFC.
FIDO security keys are small USB dongles that enable secure login to websites and applications supporting FIDO2 WebAuthn and classic FIDO (U2F) standards.
Token2 T2F2-NFC-TypeC security key combines hardware-based authentication, public-key cryptography, TOTP/HOTP, U2F, and FIDO2 protocols to protect your accounts. Durability
An aluminum cover protects the USB connector when not in use.
Metallic cases of T2F2-NFC-TypeC can potentially interfere with the NFC signal of the device, causing it to be blocked. This happens because metal acts as a barrier to the transmission of electromagnetic waves, including the NFC signal. To avoid this issue, it is recommended to unfold the metal casing before using NFC, however, as the metal casing cannot be completely removed, NFC signal will still be weaker. If you plan to use this key primarily via NFC, we recommend choosing the
plastic only model instead.
TOTP Feature
T2F2-NFC Security key can securely store the secrets for your TOTP profiles, but requires a
companion app (available for Android and Windows) to generate the OTPs.
